Experience and Background

Elaine is an international executive coach, coach supervisor, thinking partner and writer working with leaders, people professionals and development practitioners and their teams across the public, private and  voluntary sectors. Elaine’s purpose is to being the creativity of reflection, reflective learning and reflective practices to the world of work as a work and lifestyle choice.

Elaine is on the Faculty of the Future Fit Leadership Academy and is also Co-Founder and Creative Director of the Coaching Supervision Academy’s International Centre for Reflective Practice bringing the riches of reflection and supervision to the work of leaders and people professionals everywhere.

Elaine’s practice is informed from her extensive leadership experience when she worked in a wide range of leading edge director, policy and general management roles in the NHS, Civil Service and voluntary sector creatively leading deep system wide transformational change. Her work is now underpinned by her original MA peer reviewed research which coined the phrase “Reflect to Create”. The research was a study into leaders experiences of reflection and reflective practices and is now published in the journal of ‘Reflective Practice: International and Multidisciplinary Perspectives’.

Elaine draws her inspiration from art, sculpture, photography, film, literature, the natural world and her nordic walking. One of Elaine’s biggest sources of inspiration is Barbara Hepworth’s Studio in St Ives who created amazing beauty from rock and stone.
